Good Friday

  • First Baptist Church 1501 State Street Augusta, KS, 67010 United States (map)

Please mark your calendar and travel with us on a Journey to the Cross through the Gospel of Mark.  This is a sacred time to reflect on Jesus’ final days — days marked by betrayal, abandonment, accusation, beating, and crucifixion. We will share communion as though seated beside Him at the Last Supper. We will not leap from Palm Sunday to Easter morning as if His suffering were a footnote. We will remember the ugliness, the injustice, and the cruelty endured by the Lamb who “did not open His mouth.” Through Scripture, reflection, reverent symbolism, and communion, we will draw near to the presence of God.  Consider inviting a friend, a neighbor, or someone you’ve been praying for — someone who needs to meet Jesus. You don’t need to bring anything for this Journey except a heart willing to walk with the One who loved us and proved it: “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
